FAQ

When is the best time to book my newborn session?

As soon as possible! If you are pregnant, email me now to pencil in your due date. Once bubs is born let me know and I will amend the booking to a suitable date. Babies tend to be at their sleepiest under 10 days of age. I only take a limited number of sessions a week so that I am flexible enough if the babies arrive later/earlier than expected.

How long does it take to get my photos?

Turnaround time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks after your session date. Images will be presented to you in a private online gallery where you can choose your desired package. If you are placing a print order for other products such as album or canvas it will take additional time for the lab to have your order ready.

I have another child, would you take some photos with him/her?

Yes Sibling and parent shots are included in all session. I suggest that if the sibling is a toddler we do the parent, family and sibling shots first so that one of the parents can take the toddler for a play while we finish off bub’s newborn session peacefully.

Are the images watermarked?

The images in your online gallery will have a watermark on them but the images you purchase will be full resolution and unmarked.

Do you supply the props for newborn sessions and outfit for maternity sessions?

Yes. I have a large selection of props, blankets, backdrops and outfits sourced from all over the world, to be used for all newborn sessions. I also have a large selection of Maternity Gowns in different sizes and colors. You are welcome to book a time with me to try on some of the gowns I have available.

Do I get to choose the images in the Digital Package?

Yes. I will provide you with around 45 images on a private online gallery. From here you will be able to choose your images.

Is there a minimum order commitment?

No. You can choose to order from our create your own collection or from our a la carte products.

My newborn’s skin is blotchy or flaky, should I wait longer before having their photo taken?

Most newborns don’t have great skin. We retouch the photos to remove any temporary blotchiness/flakiness or blemishes and jaundice, to ensure nice even skin tones. The sooner you have the newborn shoot, the easier it will be to capture some great peaceful poses.
